The place

Coureilles, a place to live

Between land and sea, just a stone’s throw from La Rochelle town centre, Coureilles is an exceptional heritage site set within a one-hectare park.

A former farm rebuilt in the 17th century, the site was restored in 2024 with deep respect for traditional materials and craftsmanship, under the supervision of La Rochelle heritage architect Virginie Segonne. The quality of the restoration was recognised in 2025 by the Fondation du Patrimoine as part of its “eco-restoration” programme.

In 2026, Coureilles is reborn as an open, multifaceted living space. People come here for every part of the day: to have lunch, dinner, stay, work, or simply spend time together.

Designed like a human-scale village square, Coureilles is a place where art, gastronomy and conviviality come together naturally. A living place rooted in history, yet fully connected to the present.

Led by Charlotte Troï and Alexis Guillon, the chef couple behind Opaline in La Rochelle, Une Table celebrates honest, authentic flavours through dishes designed to be shared and enjoyed together.

The menu evolves with the seasons while revisiting traditional French classics.

Une Table welcomes you into an elegant, warm atmosphere beneath the shade of the century-old plane tree.

Un Café is an invitation to slow down and take your time by the wood-burning stove, at any moment of the day. Its soft light, terracotta floor, long banquette and chestnut tables create a setting that feels both soothing and comfortably lived-in.

Un Café offers a menu that changes throughout the day, from breakfast to evening apéritifs, with indulgent options at lunch and in the afternoon.

The Rooftop

Perched above the courtyard, the Rooftop offers a stunning view over the manor house and the century-old plane tree, making it the ideal spot for after-work drinks or an open-air apéritif.

Connected to the restaurant yet also accessible via its own entrance, it is the perfect place to enjoy the last hours of a sunny day.

The Event Spaces

L’Atelier and La Grange host your working sessions and events at Coureilles.

Meetings, seminars, workshops, exhibitions or talks: these two spaces adapt to every format. Carefully restored, they combine stone, wood and natural light thanks to their many openings onto the courtyard. Spaces designed for gathering, thinking and creating in a different way.

The Covered Courtyard

At the heart of the courtyard, the Covered Courtyard is made for long shared tables and generous meals together. Gathered around the rotisserie and the wood-fired oven, people come here for simple, hearty lunches and dinners.

Under the covered space or around one of the tables scattered through the kitchen garden, everyone enjoys Coureilles at their own pace.

The Kitchen Garden

Accessible from the Covered Courtyard or the garden, the Kitchen Garden changes with the seasons. Between aromatic herbs and vegetables grown on site, a few tables invite you to sit down for lunch, enjoy a drink or simply take in the calm.

A peaceful spot that extends the kitchen and connects Coureilles to nature.

The Garden

Designed in the style of a formal French garden, the Garden becomes the backdrop for shared moments outdoors.
It hosts gatherings, screenings, intimate concerts and festive occasions.
An open, lively space that can be privately booked all year round.

The Woodland

At the heart of the estate, the Woodland is a true green haven and a complete change of scene.
Beneath the lime trees, acacias, oaks and maples, you can wander or linger for a picnic or an outdoor workshop.
A preserved corner of nature where the city simply fades away.
